Are you ready to begin farming and need some assistance in doing so?
Are you a small-scale farmer looking for opportunities to be more economically viable and connect with other farmers?
The WI Emerging Farmers Program at UW-Extension Milwaukee County seeks to train and equip the next generation of farmers through:
- Affordable land access
- Community workshops taught by regional experts
- Facilitating selling partnerships with local restaurants and retailers
- Building local food system infrastructure, such as distribution hubs and local food processing
- Mobilizing farmers to access and share resources such as roto-tillers, soil amendments and packaging
If any of these opportunities sound helpful and you wish to learn more or be involved, please contact Ryan Schone, local foods educator at email@example.com or 414-256-4653.
The number of participants and land access is limited – please contact us soon!
