How to Become a Master Gardener
To become certified, Master Gardeners must successfully
complete both the training and service
requirements during their first year in the program.
To maintain certification, a minimum number of hours of continuing
education (10 hours) and volunteer service (24 hours) must
be completed annually.
The SouthEast Wisconsin Master Gardener membership dues
of $10 per year also includes membership in the state Master
Gardener Association.
Master Gardener General Training will be held Mondays from 5:30-8:30 pm beginning January 14, 2008 at UWEX office in Milwaukee and Tuesdays from 1:00 - 4:00 pm beginning January 15, 2008 at UWEX office in Waukesha (Courthouse Annex). The first week will be Orientation followed by 12 weeks of instruction through the week of April 1, 2008.
