Volunteer working with a STEM youthTeach youth science, technology, engineering, and math activities and familiarize them with college options! Pre-College 4-H STEM provides STEM and Pre-College lessons to 7th and 8th grade students, primarily low income, at several schools in the City of Milwaukee. Volunteers in the program will work with motivated youth through various learning activities that enrich youth academically and socially to prepare them for a successful future. The program takes place during the day or after school. Lessons may be taught once a week or once every two weeks. This program is designed to help youth establish a strong academic STEM foundation while developing a formal connection to UW-Waukesha and other higher education institutions. (This volunteer opportunity is available through Milwaukee County UW-Cooperative Extension.)

This program is not possible without volunteers. Several levels of volunteer opportunities are available. We are flexible and will work with your schedule. The lessons are already compiled and fun to teach! No teaching experience required.
