The 4-H Community Group is a transitional phrase for chartered 4-H Groups to become a Club. This Group status can be used for 2-3 years time to introduce individuals and organizations to the 4-H educational programs.
Youth involved in 4-H Community Groups are considered 4-H youth participants. Adult leaders are asked to account for the 4-H youth participants and other volunteers by completing both parts of the 4-H Group Enrollment Form.

All volunteers are asked to preregister on the Volunteer Center's website.
Orientation workshops will be held for all newly enrolled 4-H adult volunteers. The Youth Protection Process consists of three steps:
1. Attend a volunteer training (2.5 hour commitment).
2.Authorize a confidential records check through the Department of Justice.
